Indian Creek Campground is located in Upper Joe's Valley on the Wasatch Plateau in the Manti-La Sal National Forest at approximately 8,400 feet elevation. Surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks, the campground is dotted with aspen groves, sagebrush, and pine trees that offer limited shade but spectacular autumn color displays. This is exclusively a group campground, designed for gatherings with seven large group sites available. One site accommodates up to 70 campers, five sites accommodate 50 campers each, and one site accommodates 30 campers. Each site includes picnic tables, fire rings, serving tables, and large parking areas. Vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump are provided, but there is no electricity or garbage service. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility. Roads and spurs within the campground are dirt, though access via Cottonwood Creek Road is generally good for cars and RVs. When group sites are not reserved, they are available first-come, first-served for $3 per vehicle per night. The area is popular for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and off-highway vehicle use, with many trails crisscrossing the surrounding valley and mountainsides. Nearby attractions include Potters Pond for canoeing and rainbow trout fishing, and the expansive Arapeen OHV Trail System, which features over 350 miles of designated, well-maintained trails suitable for all riding skill levels.

Directions

From Orangeville, travel northwest on State Route 29 for approximately 7.3 miles. Turn north onto Cottonwood Creek Road (Forest Road 0040) and travel 11.7 miles toward Upper Joe's Valley. At Spoon Creek Road (Forest Road 0017), continue north for 1.3 miles to the campground turnoff on the west side of the road.
