About

Little Bear Group Campground is located in beautiful Huntington Canyon along Utah Highway 31, part of the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway. At approximately 6,500 feet elevation, the campground offers two group sites nestled among pines and junipers with Huntington Creek running alongside. Each site can accommodate up to 50 people and 15 vehicles, with tables and campfire rings provided. The canyon area features numerous lakes and streams, vibrant summer wildflowers, colorful fall foliage, and abundant wildlife. Popular activities include fishing Huntington Creek's Blue Ribbon waters for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout, as well as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, and scenic driving. The 4-mile Left Fork of the Huntington National Recreation Trail and 10-mile Fish Creek Trail are nearby. The Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway is part of the 86-mile Energy Loop, offering stunning mountain and lake views as it reaches elevations over 10,000 feet. The historic Stuart Guard Station Visitor Center is also nearby, showcasing 1930s ranger life and Civilian Conservation Corps exhibits.
