About
Razorback Lake Campground sits on the northwest corner of Razorback Lake in the central portion of the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest, spanning Wisconsin's Northwoods in Vilas County. The campground offers 54 sites (numbered 2101-2154), including seven walk-to tent-only sites (2125-2126 and 2132-2136) that require a short hike from vehicles for a more secluded camping experience. The rustic campground provides essential amenities including three ADA-accessible vault toilet buildings, three hand pumps for drinking water, and trash and recycling dumpsters. Firewood is sold on-site, and campers may also gather dead wood from the surrounding forest. A large water access area and boat launch make this a prime destination for swimming, boating, and fishing on Razorback Lake. As a rustic campground, there are no electrical hookups, showers, or modern conveniences. Reservations are required and can be made through the Wisconsin state reservation system up to 11 months in advance. A vehicle admission sticker is required for entry.
