Allequash Lake Boat In Campground

Open

Open for the 2026 season from April 30 through November 1. Reservations are required before occupying any site and can be made same-day through 11 months in advance via wisconsin.goingtocamp.com. Maximum stay is 14 nights per visit with up to 6 people per site.

About

Allequash Lake Boat In Campground offers four primitive campsites scattered along the shores of this undeveloped lake in Vilas County. Located between Minocqua and Boulder Junction east of Highway M, the lake's only development is the public boat landing. Sites are spaced far apart for privacy and each accommodates up to two small tents. These water-access-only sites provide the essentials: a picnic table and fire ring at each location with an open-air toilet nearby. The surrounding Northern Highland American Legion State Forest is part of Wisconsin's extensive Northwoods lake country, with excellent opportunities for fishing, paddling, and wildlife observation. Campers may gather dead and downed wood from the forest floor for campfires.

Directions

From the intersection of County K and M (Cut-off Road) in Boulder Junction, head south on County K for 1.9 miles. Continue south on County M for 3.2 miles, then turn east on the access road to reach the Allequash Lake boat landing and parking area. Launch and paddle to your reserved site.
