About
Pymatuning State Park is one of the largest and most visited state parks in Pennsylvania, encompassing 16,892 acres along the shores of the 17,088-acre Pymatuning Reservoir. The park operates three distinct campgrounds from mid-April through mid-October, each offering modern amenities in different areas of the park. Linesville Campground in the northern section and Jamestown Campground on the south shore both feature modern bathhouses with flush toilets and hot showers, with approximately half of their sites offering electric hookups. Jamestown also includes some full-service sites with sewer, water, and electric, plus a camp store, boat launch, beach, amphitheater, and playground. Tuttle Campground in the central area provides the most hookups, with all sites having electric and water and most featuring full hookups including sewer. All three campgrounds have ADA-accessible sites and restrooms, sanitary dump stations, and allow pets on designated or all sites. The park also features 20 modern cabins near Jamestown available for year-round use, plus five seasonal ADA-accessible cabins near Linesville. Maximum stay is 14 days during summer season and 21 days during off-season. Recreational opportunities abound with four swimming beaches, fishing, boating, hiking trails, and environmental education programs. The reservoir is a premier destination for water-based activities and the park offers extensive amenities for families and RV campers seeking a lakeside camping experience.
