About
Located on the western shore of Pymatuning Lake in northeastern Ohio, this large campground is part of Pymatuning State Park and serves as a popular destination for fishing, boating, and water recreation. The campground contains 352 sites spread across three distinct areas, with 331 sites offering 20 or 30 amp electric hookups and 21 non-electric sites available. Premium waterfront sites command higher rates but provide direct lake access. The modern facility includes heated showerhouses, flush toilets, and coin-operated laundry facilities. An on-site camp store sells snacks, drinks, and essential camping supplies. Two dump stations serve RVers. Recreation amenities include a small swimming beach near the center of the campground, a playground, basketball court, volleyball court, and a nature center. A boat launch provides water access, and a fishing pier accommodates shore anglers. The campground is divided into three areas with varying pet policies. Area 3 welcomes pets in most sections, while areas 1 and 2 do not permit pets. The park also offers 26 heated family cottages available year-round and 32 standard cottages operating May through November, plus three canvas yurts equipped with basic amenities. Certain sites and facilities are ADA accessible. The park has been serving visitors since 1950 when development began on land acquired by Ohio in 1935.
