Pymatuning State Park's cabin area features 10 brand new one-bedroom cabins that opened in late 2025 as part of a $17.5 million investment. Built on the sites of former cabin units, these modern structures retain the charm and layout of the originals while offering enhanced comfort and amenities for year-round use. Each cabin includes heating and air conditioning, upgraded furnishings, and distinctive live-edge dining and coffee tables crafted from Ohio wood by local artisans. Two of the new cabins are fully ADA accessible, expanding lodging options for visitors of all abilities. The cabins complement the park's existing mix of renovated preferred and basic cabin options, providing guests with varied lodging styles. Located along the shores of Pymatuning Reservoir, one of Ohio's largest inland lakes, the park encompasses 3,500 acres and offers extensive outdoor recreation opportunities. The park is renowned for walleye and crappie fishing, with year-round angling available in the reservoir. Visitors can enjoy boating, hiking, wildlife viewing, and beach activities. The remaining marshes and wetlands attract diverse wildlife, including bald eagles that nest on the Pennsylvania side of the reservoir. Recent park improvements include electrical upgrades to the campsite area, cabin renovations, and plans for a new multiuse trail connecting the campground to the main beach area.

Directions

Pymatuning State Park Campground is located at 7514 Pymatuning Lake Rd in Andover, Ohio. From Andover, head south on OH-7 S and turn right onto Pymatuning Lake Rd; the campground entrance will be clearly marked on your right. The drive takes you along the scenic edge of Pymatuning Lake, making for an easy and direct route to the park.
