About

Pulltite Campground is a developed year-round campground located within Ozark National Scenic Riverways, America's first national park area established to protect a wild river system. The campground features 55 sites nestled in rolling, forested landscapes along the Current River, providing a classic camping experience with convenient river access. The Current River flows directly past the campground, offering excellent opportunities for canoeing, tubing, swimming, and fishing. Over 130 miles of scenic spring-fed waterways exist within the park, with canoe and kayak rentals available from nearby outfitters. The historic Pulltite Cabin sits across the river from the campground next to Pulltite Spring, accessible only by boat or wading. Several miles of hiking and horseback riding trails crisscross the region, including the Alley Overlook Trail, Chubb Hollow Trail, Ozark Trail, Cave Spring Trail, and Big Springs Trail. The surrounding Ozark National Scenic Riverways landscape is known for its karst features including over 300 caves, springs, sinkholes, and losing streams. The Ozark forest consists primarily of white oak and shortleaf pine, Missouri's only native pine species. Along the rivers, sycamore, cottonwood, river birch, and maples are common, while redbud and dogwoods provide spectacular spring displays. Nearby attractions include Round Spring Cave with ranger-guided tours during summer months and the historic Alley Mill and Alley Spring.
