About

Bay Creek Campground sits at the edge of the Jacks Fork River in Missouri's Ozark National Scenic Riverways. As the largest backcountry campground in the park, it offers 11 shaded sites beneath a lush canopy. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. A vault toilet restroom with accessible parking serves the campground, though there are no ADA-designated campsites. This is a primitive camping experience: there is no potable water, no showers, and no electric hookups. Campers should bring all drinking water and supplies. Access requires driving about 2 miles on gravel roads from County Road 106-425, which branches off Highway 106 roughly 10 miles west of Eminence. The campground draws floaters, campers, and hunters throughout the year. The adjacent river is a prime spot for wildlife viewing, with Bald Eagles and White-Tailed Deer frequently seen. The cool waters and shaded sites make Bay Creek a popular summer destination.

Directions

From Eminence, drive west on Highway 106 for about 9.7 miles. Turn left onto County Road 106-425 and follow the gravel road straight for just over 2 miles until it reaches Bay Creek.
