About
Located just across the river from Cedar Grove, Dee Murray Campground is a backcountry camping destination in Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The campground features 5 sunny campsites, all within a short walk to the Current River. A nearby vehicle-free gravel bar provides a peaceful riverside experience.
In summer months, the nearby river access is bustling with canoes, kayaks, rafts, and other watercraft. The Current River offers blue ribbon fishing opportunities and the area provides access to hiking trails. The spring-fed waters remain cold and clear year-round.
Access requires driving on gravel roads for less than 1000 feet and crossing a concrete river ford. The campground is equipped with vault toilets but has no potable water, so visitors must bring their own. As a backcountry site, reservations are made through Recreation.gov and payment is handled via Scan & Pay on the mobile app.
Directions
From Jadwin, Missouri, drive west on State Highway ZZ for roughly 5.3 miles. After 2.3 miles, the road becomes County Road 651. At the concrete river crossing, cross over the river and drive up the hill to the intersection. Turn left onto NPS Road 109 to reach the campground. This route requires driving on gravel roads for less than 1000 feet.
