About

Alley Spring Campground sits within the rolling, forested landscape of Ozark National Scenic Riverways, America's first national park area dedicated to protecting a wild river system. The campground serves as a prime base for exploring the confluence region where two spring-fed rivers combine, offering over 130 miles of water trails for canoeing, tubing, swimming, and fishing. Canoe and kayak rentals are available from nearby outfitters. The campground features paved roads and parking spurs throughout, with sites ranging from shaded forest settings to partially sunny spots. All sites are within walking distance of the Jacks Fork River, though proximity varies. Standard sites accommodate one tent plus one RV/camper, while cluster sites allow larger group configurations. Ranger-led campfire programs take place at the amphitheater during summer months. Nearby attractions include the historic Alley Mill, which is open daily in summer with ranger-led tours available upon request. Several interpretive trails with educational exhibits wind through the area, including the Alley Overlook Trail, Chubb Hollow Trail, Ozark Trail, Cave Spring Trail, and the connection to Big Springs Trail. The Ozark forest of White oak and Shortleaf pine, along with riverside Sycamore, Cottonwood, and River birch, provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
