About

Cedar Grove Campground is a backcountry campground in the Upper Current District of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Located about 10 minutes from Jadwin, Missouri, the campground sits along the Current River in a scenic area popular for swimming, floating, and fishing. A nearby hiking trail connects to the historic Susie Nichols Cabin. The campground offers 6 primitive, non-electric sites suitable for tents or small RVs/trailers. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. Vault toilet restrooms are available but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Access requires a short stretch of gravel road (less than 1,000 feet) off NPS Road 154. Cedar Grove sees year-round visitation. Summer brings crowds seeking the cool river to beat the heat, while the southern exposure keeps campers comfortable during the milder fall and winter months. The area offers excellent blue ribbon trout fishing upstream on the Current River.

Directions

From Jadwin, Missouri, drive west on State Highway ZZ for approximately 5.3 miles. After 2.3 miles, the road becomes County Road 651. Just before the large concrete river crossing, turn right onto NPS Road 154. This gravel road leads through the campground. Less than 1,000 feet of gravel road driving required.
