About
Seated in the northwest corner of Ozark National Scenic Riverways, Cedar Grove Campground offers primitive camping along the Current River. In summer, thousands of people swim or float on the river, while upstream visitors enjoy blue ribbon fishing. A nearby hiking trail connects to the historic Susie Nichols Cabin, adding a touch of cultural history to the natural experience.
The campground features 6 reservable sites accessible via NPS Road 154, a short gravel road reached from County Road 651. Sites are equipped with vault toilets but no water, showers, or hookups. The location sees year-round visitation, with the cool river helping visitors beat the heat in warmer months and the southern sun keeping campers warm in fall and winter.
Cedar Grove requires reservations through Recreation.gov, with payment processed through the Scan & Pay system on the Recreation.gov mobile app starting April 15, 2025. Standard sites are $10 per night. The campground is located about 10 minutes from Jadwin, Missouri, requiring a crossing of the Current River via concrete ford just before reaching the campground.
Directions
Cedar Grove Campground is located about 10 minutes from Jadwin, Missouri. Starting in Jadwin, drive west on State Highway ZZ for roughly 5.3 miles. After 2.3 miles, the road becomes County Road 651. You will reach a large concrete river crossing. Just before the crossing, turn right onto NPS Road 154. This gravel road leads through the campground.
