About
Potters Pond Campground is nestled in Upper Joes Valley within the Manti-La Sal National Forest at an elevation of 9,000 feet. Pine trees and wild grasses cover the valley floor while aspens dot the surrounding mountainsides. Two sparkling ponds provide opportunities for rainbow trout fishing and canoeing, with scenic views from the shore. The campground offers 19 sites including single, double, group, and equestrian options. All sites are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, electricity, or trash collection. Visitors must bring their own water and pack out all garbage. Roads and parking spurs are dirt. The Arapeen OHV Trail System can be accessed directly from the campground, offering more than 350 miles of designated, well-maintained trails suitable for all riding skill levels. Horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking are also popular in the area. Those camping with horses must use the designated equestrian sites 16-19.
