About

Pine Ridge Campground is a rustic 8-site campground located within Mark Twain National Forest in Callaway County, Missouri. The surrounding shortleaf pine forest was planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s, giving the area a distinctive character. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and lantern post. The campground is a popular stopover for hikers using the 36-mile Cedar Creek Trail, with direct trailhead access to the Pine Ridge Section. Note that horses are not permitted on this trail section or within the campground. A large open field in the adjacent day use area provides space for recreational activities. Amenities include vault toilets, potable drinking water, and a dumpster. There are no hookups, dump station, or showers. Two sites can accommodate RVs up to 34 feet, while the remaining six sites are suited for smaller rigs. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through early December.
