About
Finger Lakes State Park Campground provides a unique camping experience on land reclaimed from strip mining operations. Located just north of Columbia, the park has transformed scarred terrain into a recreational destination where riders can enjoy miles of ATV and off-road motorcycle trails alongside hikers and mountain bikers on the 3.8-mile Kelley Branch Trail. The campground sits in a wooded area with hilly terrain and offers both basic and electric sites with 30-amp and 50-amp hookups. Amenities include modern restrooms with hot showers, vault toilets, a dump station, playground, and a wood lot. The park also features a sand swimming beach, fishing in former mine pit lakes stocked with bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish, and a 4.5-mile water trail for canoeing and kayaking. ATVs and motorcycles are prohibited from riding within the campground itself and must remain on paved surfaces when transiting through. ORV permits are required for trail riding and can be purchased online or at the park office.
