About

Graham Cave State Park Shelters provides a reservable covered picnic shelter within the scenic 386-acre park in Montgomery County, Missouri. Set among rolling hills and woodland above the Loutre River, the shelter offers a gathering space for groups of up to 80 people with picnic tables and nearby amenities including a playground and vault toilets. The park is home to Graham Cave, the first archaeological site in the United States to be designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961. The cave contains evidence of human habitation dating back over 10,000 years. Visitors can explore interpretive trails, use the boat ramp on the Loutre River, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area while utilizing the shelter facilities. The shelter is available for reservation from April through October, with first-come-first-served availability during the off-season from November through March. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through the Missouri State Parks online system or by contacting the park directly.
