About
Peace Valley Campground is a fully-accessible group camping facility situated 27 miles north of Garden Valley in the Boise National Forest at an elevation of 4,591 feet. The campground consists of five campsites combined into a single group site that can accommodate up to 50 people. Each site includes a picnic table, grill, and fire ring, with one site featuring a small picnic shelter. Vault toilets are available, but campers must bring their own water as potable water is not provided. The surrounding high forested mountains and steep valleys offer diverse recreation including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and OHV use on nearby trails such as Peace Creek Trail, Bitter Creek Trail, Rattlesnake Trail, and the 465 ATV Trail. Peace Creek and Silver Creek provide year-round fishing for whitefish and rainbow trout, while in-season hunting for deer, elk, and bear is popular in the surrounding mountains. Silver Creek Plunge, a privately-operated hot springs resort with a pool, general store, playground, and sports courts, is located just 2.5 miles away. Wildlife in the area includes deer, elk, bald eagles, and red-tailed hawks.
