Flat Fire GNA Salvage Road and Trail Closure
The purpose of this Order is to protect public safety during timber operations near the Flat Fire burn area. These will be in effect from June 20 through December 31, 2025.

About
Peace Valley Campground sits 27 miles north of Garden Valley, Idaho, at an elevation of 4,591 feet in the beautiful Peace Valley of Boise National Forest. This fully-accessible campground operates as a group-only facility with five campsites that combine into one group site accommodating up to 50 people. Reservations are required through Recreation.gov. The campground features picnic tables, grills, fire rings, a small picnic shelter, and vault toilets. Parking spurs accommodate small to medium RVs up to 30 feet. As a pack-in, pack-out facility, campers must remove all trash upon departure. Potable water is not available, so visitors must bring their own. Peace Valley excels as a base for OHV enthusiasts and outdoor recreation. Peace Creek Trail and Bitter Creek Trail, both designated motorcycle trails, begin nearby. The Rattlesnake Trail and 465 ATV Trail provide additional riding opportunities. Peace Creek and Silver Creek offer excellent fishing for whitefish and rainbow trout most of the year. In-season big game hunting for deer, elk, and bear is popular in the surrounding mountains. The area also features trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding through high, forested mountains and steep valleys. Wildlife including deer, elk, bald eagles, and red-tailed hawks inhabit the area. Silver Creek Plunge, a private hot springs resort 2.5 miles away, offers additional amenities including a hot springs pool, general store, and recreation facilities.
Directions
From Boise, travel north on Highway 55 to Banks. Turn east on Banks-Lowman Highway 17 and continue 8 miles toward Garden Valley. Turn left/north on Middle Fork Payette Road (Forest Road 698) and pass through Crouch. Proceed north on FR 698 approximately 16 miles to Silver Creek Road (Forest Road 671). Turn northeast on FR 671 and continue approximately 10 miles to the campground, which is on the left 2 miles past Silver Creek Campground.
