About

Boiling Springs Campground is a small, first-come, first-served facility tucked into a narrow mountain valley between a natural hot springs, a stream, and the Middle Fork Payette River. The surrounding mountains are steep and densely forested with conifers, creating a secluded backcountry atmosphere. Elk and deer frequently graze along the riverbanks. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the area's recreation opportunities. The Middle Fork Payette River provides rainbow and bull trout fishing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Numerous hiking, biking, horse, and OHV trails crisscross the vicinity, including the Middle Fork Trail. The adjacent mineral hot springs offer natural soaking, with additional hot springs located nearby. In winter, the area transforms into a snowmobile and cross-country skiing destination with miles of groomed trails. The nearby Boiling Springs Cabin (reservable separately on Recreation.gov) provides winter access via snowmobile only.
