Pavilion B Group Site

Closed

Reservations available through Recreation.gov typically through early October. The nearby Joes Valley Campground is temporarily closed for renovation.

About

Situated at 7,000 feet in a high mountain valley adjacent to Joes Valley Reservoir, this group campground offers a base camp for exploring the Wasatch Plateau in central Utah. The site's centerpiece is a large pavilion that provides shade over picnic tables, though minimal natural shade exists elsewhere in the immediate area. A spacious gravel parking area accommodates vehicles of various sizes including RVs. The reservoir provides excellent fishing opportunities for cutthroat, rainbow trout, and trophy splake, along with boating, water skiing, and canoeing. The 350+ mile Arapeen Off-Highway Vehicle Trail System is accessible from nearby Reeder Trailhead, though OHV use is prohibited within the campground itself. Popular mountain fisheries at Grassy Lake, Pete's Hole, and Potters Ponds are all within 10 miles. The surrounding area offers hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, though horses are not permitted within the campground. Joe's Valley Resort nearby provides a restaurant, store, and equipment rentals.

Directions

From Orangeville, Utah, head northwest on State Route 29 for approximately 14 miles to Joes Valley Reservoir. Continue to follow SR-29 around the reservoir for about 4 more miles to the west side. Head east on Forest Road 0121 toward the Pavilion.
