Palisade State Park

Palisade State Park sits along the shores of Palisade Reservoir in Sanpete County, approximately 133 miles south of Salt Lake City. The park provides a well-developed camping experience with 85 total sites distributed across four campgrounds: Arapeen, Pioneer, Sanpitch, and Wakara. Accommodations range from standard no-hookup tent sites to full-hookup RV sites with electric, water, and sewer connections. Ten cabins are also available, three with full amenities including indoor restrooms and showers, and seven with basic amenities. The reservoir is the centerpiece of recreation here, offering fishing (rated good conditions), swimming, paddling, and boating with electric motors only. Boat and paddling equipment rentals are available seasonally. The park also features an 18-hole desert canyon golf course with an on-site grill restaurant. Nearby Six-Mile Canyon and the Arapeen ATV trail system provide off-highway vehicle access for OHV enthusiasts. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Modern restrooms with hot showers are available, though showers close from 10am to 5pm to conserve water. A dump station serves RV campers. Reservations can be made 2 days to 4 months in advance through Utah State Parks. Maximum stay is limited to 5 nights, with quiet hours from 10pm to 7am.
