About
Lake Hill Campground is situated next to the scenic Lake Hill Reservoir in Ephraim Canyon, just five miles east of Ephraim, Utah at an elevation of 8,400 feet. The campground offers both single-family sites and two group sites nestled in a mixed forest of spruce, fir, and aspen that provides partial shade throughout most of the campground. All sites include picnic tables and fire rings, with vault toilets and potable water available during the operating season. The small man-made reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout and offers excellent fishing and canoeing opportunities. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, which is part of the extensive Arapeen OHV Trail System with over 350 miles of trails. Nearby Jimmies Fork Trail and the Great Basin Experimental Trail provide additional opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The self-guided Great Basin Experimental Range Auto Tour runs along Ephraim Canyon, showcasing one of North America's oldest range research sites where continuous range research has been conducted for over 100 years.
Directions
From Ephraim, turn east on 400 South, turn right on 300 East. 300 East turns into State Route 29 and continues approximately 5 miles to the campground.
