About

Lake Hill Campground is nestled next to Lake Hill Reservoir at 8,400 feet in the Manti-La Sal National Forest, just 5 miles east of Ephraim, Utah via Forest Highway 8. The campground offers both single-family sites and two group sites, with Group Site #1 accommodating up to 30 people and Group Site #2 handling up to 75 people. A mixed forest of spruce, fir, and aspen provides partial shade throughout the campground, with summer wildflowers abundant. The small man-made reservoir is popular for canoeing and rainbow trout fishing. Beyond the water, Ephraim Canyon serves as a gateway to the Arapeen OHV Trail System with over 350 miles of routes. Jimmies Fork Trail and the Great Basin Experimental Trail nearby offer opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The self-guided Great Basin Experimental Range Auto Tour provides historical context on one of North America's oldest range research sites. This is a pack-it-out facility with vault toilets. Roads and parking spurs are dirt. No livestock permitted.
