About
Ferron Reservoir Campground occupies a scenic alpine basin just below the ridgeline of the Wasatch Plateau at 9,400 feet elevation. Spruce, fir, and aspen trees provide partial shade throughout the campground. The setting offers abundant wildlife, summer wildflowers, and spectacular fall foliage. The campground sits adjacent to the historic Indian Creek Guard Station. Ferron Reservoir borders the campground, providing fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout along with canoeing and small-craft boating. The Arapeen OHV Trail System with over 350 miles of designated routes is accessible nearby, featuring trails suitable for all skill levels on both 66-inch and 50-inch OHV routes. Rush Pond and Willow Lake lie a short drive east, while Duck Fork Reservoir is just north. Skyline Drive runs above the campground along the Wasatch Plateau ridgeline for more than 60 miles, offering mountain scenery, glacial cirques, and numerous alpine lakes and reservoirs.
