About
Kentuck Campground sits within Ohiopyle State Park, one of Pennsylvania's premier outdoor recreation destinations in the Laurel Highlands region. The campground features approximately 200 campsites spread across a hillside setting, offering a mix of traditional and modern camping experiences. Over 170 sites accommodate RVs and trailers with many offering electric hookups, while 27 walk-to tent sites provide a more secluded experience requiring a short hike from parking areas. Three multi-sites cater to larger groups seeking shared camping experiences. The campground infrastructure includes modern shower houses with hot water, flush toilets, and a sanitary dump station for RV users. Every campsite comes standard with a picnic table, fire ring, and dedicated parking space. For those seeking alternative shelter options, the campground offers canvas-walled yurts equipped with cooking stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, and electric heat, as well as rustic wooden cottages with electric lights, heat, and outlets. Both yurts and cottages sleep five people and include ADA-accessible units. Ohiopyle State Park's 20,500 acres encompass the Youghiogheny River Gorge, offering world-class whitewater rafting, extensive hiking trail networks including the southern terminus of the 70-mile Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, fishing opportunities, and numerous waterfalls. The park's location provides easy access to the Great Allegheny Passage rail trail and nearby attractions. Advance reservations through the Pennsylvania State Parks system are required to ensure campsite availability.
