About

Oh Ridge Campground occupies a scenic position above June Lake in the Inyo National Forest, with nearly every site offering views of the surrounding peaks reaching 11,000 to 12,000 feet. The 143 campsites are spread across multiple loops named after local wildlife (Bear, Duck, Squirrel, Rabbit, Coyote, Owl, Fish, Deer, Gull). At 7,600 feet elevation, the campground sits in a mostly open landscape with scattered pine and aspen providing limited shade. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, grill, and bear-proof food locker (48x30x36 inches). The campground provides flush toilets and potable drinking water. Sites can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet. This is an active bear area, and use of the provided bear boxes is mandatory. The adjacent day-use area features a swimming beach on June Lake's clear waters. The town of June Lake is nearby for supplies, and the June Lake Loop offers scenic driving with views of multiple lakes and rugged peaks. Trails into the Ansel Adams Wilderness depart nearby, and Yosemite National Park and Mono Lake are easy day trips.
