About
June Lake Campground is located on the eastern shoreline of 257-acre June Lake at 7,600 feet elevation in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. The 28 campsites are nestled in a mixed aspen and pine forest, with many offering views of the surrounding 11,000 to 12,000-foot peaks. Easy access to fishing for rainbow and Alpers trout, a marina, and boat rentals make this a favorite spot for both families and anglers. The campground's location in the town of June Lake provides the convenience of nearby shopping, dining, and services within walking distance. Numerous trails lie minutes away, including the Fern Lake Trail which leads into the scenic Ansel Adams Wilderness. The June Lake Loop provides expansive views of rugged mountain peaks and several alpine lakes. The area offers year-round recreation, with skiing at June Mountain during winter months. Mono Lake, Yosemite National Park, and the Ansel Adams Wilderness are all within easy driving distance.
Directions
From US Highway 395, take the southern junction with State Highway 158. Travel 2.3 miles on Highway 158. The campground is on the right just past the fire station in the town of June Lake.
