About
Aerie Crag Picnic Area and Campground sits along Rush Creek on the scenic June Lake Loop in Inyo National Forest. Primarily a day-use picnic area, this facility opens as overflow camping when other popular campgrounds in the area reach capacity. The campground is restricted to self-contained RVs only, with no tent camping or hookups available. The site features 10 camping spots with picnic tables and flush toilets, but campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site. Located at 7,200 feet elevation between Grant Lake and Silver Lake, the campground provides easy access to fishing, hiking, and the greater June Lake Loop recreation area. Aerie Crag operates seasonally and is first-come, first-served with no reservations. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and dogs must be leashed. The nightly fee is $23 per site, with America the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes honored. Cash or check payment only.
