About
Oak Creek Campground is located in the scenic Oak Creek Canyon of central Utah's Fishlake National Forest, approximately 4.4 miles east of Oak City. The campground sits along the banks of Oak Creek beneath a dense grove of shady oak, maple, and cottonwood trees. The facility includes four reservable group sites and additional first-come-first-served family sites, with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills at each site. Rainbow trout fishing in the cool waters of Oak Creek is a popular activity, and campers enjoy splashing in the creek during hot summer days. Off-road vehicle trails are accessible from the campground, though ATV use within the campground itself is limited to ingress and egress only. The campground also features an amphitheater, volleyball court, and play field for group activities. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility with no garbage services. Drinking water is available from a hand pump, and vault toilets are provided. The upper campground road is narrow, and smaller trailers are recommended for that area. No electric, water, or sewer hookups are available. The campground enforces a 16-day camping limit and quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
