Vernon Reservoir Campground

About
Vernon Reservoir Campground sits at roughly 6,500 feet in the Stansbury Mountains, about 9 miles south of the town of Vernon via a dirt road off Highway 36. The reservoir is the centerpiece, providing fishing in a peaceful setting since powerboats are prohibited. The surrounding high desert terrain offers open views and solitude. This is a primitive camping area with no modified facilities beyond vault restrooms and picnic tables. There is no potable water, hookups, or developed individual campsites. Campers should come prepared with their own water supply and be self-sufficient. A day use fee applies: $10 per vehicle for three days, $20 for seven days, or $60 for a season pass. Interagency Recreation Passes are honored. The area has a 16-day stay limit.
Directions
From Highway 36, turn south at Vernon and travel 9 miles on a dirt road to the reservoir.
