Special Weather Statement issued March 4 at 9:22PM EST by NWS Albany NY
Residual wet surfaces from snowmelt will freeze overnight as temperatures drop back well below freezing. This will allow patches of black ice to form on untreated ground surfaces. Motorists traveling overnight through early Thursday morning should allow extra time to reach their destination and be prepared for black ice. Untreated walkways and parking lots may also become very slippery for pedestrians.
