About
Mill Creek Recreation Area sits on the banks of Berlin Lake, a 3,590-acre reservoir on the Mahoning River offering 70 miles of shoreline. The campground provides 295 sites ranging from wooded waterfront locations to open grassy areas, with over 100 sites equipped with 50-amp electric service. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table on a gravel pad. Berlin Lake is one of the premier walleye fisheries in Ohio, with natural reproduction sustaining the population. Anglers also pursue largemouth and smallmouth bass, muskie, crappie, and bluegill. The lake permits boating, water skiing, and swimming, though there is no designated beach or lifeguard. A boat ramp with courtesy dock provides lake access. The campground features flush restrooms, shower houses, a dump station, playgrounds, volleyball court, and an amphitheater for educational programs. Noah's Lost Ark Animal Sanctuary, home to big cats and exotic animals, is located one mile south.
