About

West Branch State Park Campground is located in Portage County near Ravenna, Ohio, offering visitors access to one of the region's premier outdoor recreation destinations. The campground features over 200 paved campsites, all equipped with electrical hookups, spread throughout sunny and shaded areas. Some sites are positioned along the shoreline of the Michael J. Kirwan Reservoir with boat tie-ups available. The 2,650-acre reservoir is the centerpiece of the park's recreation opportunities, popular with anglers, boaters, and swimmers. Five launch ramps provide lake access, including one conveniently located within the campground. The park's 5,000+ acres of meadows and woodlands offer excellent hiking and horseback riding opportunities, with extensive trail systems traversing diverse terrain. Campers enjoy access to modern amenities including flush restrooms, showers, and a camp store. The spacious sites can accommodate large RVs, with some sites capable of handling rigs up to 80 feet in length. Located approximately one hour from Cleveland, the park provides a convenient escape into nature while remaining accessible to urban amenities.

Directions

From the South, East, or West: Take I-76 to the SR 14 exit. Turn south and proceed to Tallmadge Rd. Turn left on Tallmadge and then turn left on Rock Spring Rd. Stay on Rock Spring until Copeland Rd. Turn right onto Copeland, continue onto Esworthy Rd, and follow to the campground. From the North: Take SR 14 south to SR 59 in Ravenna. Turn left on SR 59, which becomes SR 5. Proceed on SR 5 until Rock Spring Rd. Turn right onto Rock Spring Rd, then left onto Copeland Rd, continue onto Esworthy Rd, and follow to the campground.
