West Branch State Park Campground is a well-equipped facility located near the Michael J. Kirwan Reservoir in Portage County, Ohio. The campground offers 216 sites divided among 29 full-hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections, approximately 155 sites with 50-amp electric service, and 14 non-electric primitive sites. Three rental cabins are also available. Every campsite comes with a fire ring and picnic table. Amenities include modern heated shower facilities, flush toilets, coin-operated laundry, a trailer dump station, and a camp store selling firewood and supplies. Free WiFi is available throughout the campground. The park accommodates pets on a 6-foot leash with a maximum of two pets per site, though pets are not permitted on the swimming beach. Recreational opportunities abound with lake access for boating and fishing, a swimming beach, an 18-hole disc golf course, and a dog park. The campground operates year-round, though winter operations from November 1 through April 1 are limited to electric sites 1-33 and group sites, with portable restrooms replacing flush facilities and no potable water available.

Directions

From the South, East, or West: Take I-76 to the SR 14 exit. Turn south and proceed to Tallmadge Rd. Turn left on Tallmadge and then turn left on Rock Spring Rd. Stay on Rock Spring until Copeland Rd. Turn right onto Copeland, continue onto Esworthy Rd, and follow to the campground. From the North: Take SR 14 south to SR 59 in Ravenna. Turn left on SR 59, which becomes SR 5. Proceed on SR 5 until Rock Spring Rd. Turn right onto Rock Spring Rd, then left onto Copeland Rd, continue onto Esworthy Rd, and follow to the campground.
