West Branch State Park Group Campground provides organized group camping for up to 50 people on the shores of the Michael J. Kirwan Reservoir in Portage County, Ohio. The campground offers three group sites integrated within the larger family camping area. Group Sites A and B feature full electric service with 20-, 30-, and 50-amp outlets, while Group Site C offers a primitive camping experience. Each group site is equipped with six picnic tables, two fire rings, a charcoal grill, and multiple lantern hooks. The group camping area shares amenities with the main campground, including flush restrooms located within 100 yards, heated showers, laundry facilities, and a trailer dump station. A camp store on-site sells firewood and supplies, and games and sporting equipment are available for loan to registered campers. The park offers extensive recreation including 14 miles of hiking trails with a connection to the Buckeye Trail, 19+ miles of mountain bike trails, and nearly 20 miles of bridle trails. The reservoir provides unlimited horsepower boating with five launch ramps, seasonal marina services, and fishing for bass, walleye, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and trophy muskellunge. Additional facilities include an 18-hole disc golf course near the beach, a 9-hole course in the campground area, and a dog park with swimming pond.
