The trailhead is situated at the entrance of Paradise Campground, with parking available on the right side before the one-way loop road. This is strictly a trailhead facility with no overnight camping permitted. The site lacks amenities such as restrooms, potable water, and picnic tables. Hikers seeking overnight accommodations should consider the adjacent Paradise Campground, which offers 64 developed campsites with flush toilets, water, and other amenities. From the trailhead, the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail continues over undulating terrain westward past Paradise Campground and the McKenzie River Ranger Station before reaching the Lower McKenzie River Trailhead.
Directions
