About
Horse Creek Group Campground is a dedicated group camping site located on the banks of Horse Creek in Oregon's Willamette National Forest. The campground accommodates up to 60 campers with a maximum of 23 vehicles, making it ideal for family reunions, scout troops, or other organized outings. The site features drinking water from a hand pump, vault toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings. An open field on the west side of the campground provides space for sports like frisbee or kickball, while a picnic area offers a dedicated spot for grilling and group meals. Nearby recreation includes fishing in Horse Creek and access to the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail, a 26-mile scenic path along the river suitable for hiking and biking. Cougar Reservoir lies about 10 miles southwest for boating opportunities.
