Mariners Point Group Campground is located at the opening to the Pit arm of Shasta Lake, where visitors can enjoy both tent and RV camping in a group setting. The facility consists of two separate loops, each available for $130 per night and accommodating groups with trailers up to 16 feet in length. Each loop features picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and parking spurs, though campers must bring their own drinking water as potable water is not available on-site. Vault toilets are provided. The campground offers excellent access to Shasta Lake recreation opportunities. The nearest public boat ramp is six miles away at Jones Valley, and nearby lakeside resorts offer boat rentals and fuel. Shasta Lake is renowned for power and non-motorized boating, water skiing, and fishing. Anglers can pursue trout, catfish, Chinook salmon, crappie, bluegill, white sturgeon, brown bullhead, and bass. The surrounding Shasta-Trinity National Forest provides additional hiking and exploration opportunities in California's largest national forest, which encompasses diverse landscapes with mountain lakes and extensive stream systems.

Directions

Take the Mountain Gate/Wonderland Blvd. exit 687 off of I-5, then east to Bear Mountain Road. Turn left and follow Bear Mountain Road 9 miles to Dry Creek Road. Turn left on Dry Creek Road one mile to county road 5J050. Follow the county road approximately 4 miles to facility.
