About
Mahogany Cove Campground is located in a grassy meadow at 7,200 feet elevation along the Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway in the Fishlake National Forest. The campground is situated just 12 miles east of Beaver, Utah, and offers a unique configuration of seven individual campsites that can be reserved together as one large group site accommodating up to 150 people and 20 vehicles. When the group site is not reserved, individual sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The first site features several picnic tables, a large grill, and a campfire circle, while the other six sites each contain one picnic table, fire ring, and grill. The campground provides vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump. Roads and parking spurs are gravel, and a large play field is located just inside the entrance. The site is surrounded by stands of mahogany, pinion, juniper, and ponderosa pine trees that provide partial shade, with pretty views of the Tushar Range. Recreational opportunities include fishing for rainbow and brook trout on the Beaver River, which is just a short drive below the campground. Hiking, mountain biking, and hunting are popular activities in the area. The Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway curves past the campground, offering 17 miles of scenic driving through the Tushar Mountains. Note that SR-153 wraps around three sides of the campground, so caution with children and pets is advised. The campground enforces a 16-day camping limit and operates as a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility with no garbage services.

From Beaver, Utah, travel east on paved SR-153/Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway approximately 12 miles to the campground on the right side of the road.
