About

Little Cottonwood Campground is conveniently located off I-15 in the Fishlake National Forest, adjacent to the Beaver River just outside the community of Beaver. At 6,500 feet elevation, this is an accessible mountain getaway for those concerned about higher elevations. The campground features 14 single-family campsites, with two accessible units available for reservation. All sites are paved with picnic tables and grills, and most are well-shaded by cottonwood, aspen, pinion, juniper and ponderosa pine trees. Recreation opportunities include stream fishing along the Beaver River with an accessible fishing path located within the campground. The Piute ATV Trail is nearby, though not directly accessible from the campground; visitors must trailer ATVs to nearby trailheads. The Cottonwood Trail, accessible from the lower campground, is a rugged horse and foot trail that travels southwest for about two miles before turning sharply east through Horse Flat. The forest is home to elk, deer, black bear, moose, cougar and mountain goats.

Directions

Travel east of Beaver approximately 6 miles on SR 153. The campground will be on the right side of the road.
