About
LeBaron Campground is a high-mountain retreat at 9,900 feet elevation in the Fishlake National Forest's Beaver Ranger District, situated next to LeBaron Lake. The campground offers 11 single sites and one group site, all back-in only, with capacity for trailers ranging from 12 to 45 feet depending on individual site specifications. Each campsite includes a picnic table and campfire ring, with one vault toilet serving the facility. No potable water is available, and campers must pack out all trash as there are no garbage services. LeBaron Lake is the highest fishing lake in the Tushar Mountains at 9,900 feet, covering 23 acres with a maximum depth of 11 feet. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources stocks rainbow trout, brook trout, and Arctic grayling, making it the only lake on the Beaver Ranger District where Arctic grayling are available. Only non-motorized watercraft are permitted. The campground is surrounded by mixed aspen and conifer forest providing varied shade, with most sites well-shaded. Wildlife including elk, deer, black bears, moose, cougars, and mountain goats inhabit the area. A designated ATV parking area on the west side of the campground provides access to the LeBaron ATV Trail on Forest Road 147, connecting to numerous loop trails and forest roads including the Piute ATV trail. Street legal and non-street legal vehicles are permitted for campground access and egress only. The nearest services including a dump station are in Beaver, Utah, 22 miles away.
