This also includes recent burn scars such as Forsyth, Cottonwood, Silver King, France Canyon, and Monroe Canyon. * WHEN...Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, dry washes, slot canyons, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations such as slickrock areas and recent burn scars. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Anomalously high moisture is forecast to impact the region with the arrival of the remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel. About
Birch Creek Group Campground is a lower-elevation camping area in Fishlake National Forest situated at 7,800 feet among pinion, juniper, and aspen trees. Located 6.5 miles southwest of Circleville, Utah, the campground offers two group campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees or reservations. Each group site is spacious enough to accommodate two or three vehicles and allows RVs and trailers to pull in and park. The upper campsite features a large pavilion providing shade during hot summer days. Both group areas have vault toilets, fire pits, and multiple picnic tables. Campers should come prepared as there is no drinking water, hookups, or trash service. All trash must be packed out. The campground enforces quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and a 16-day stay limit. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash with waste cleaned up. OHV traffic is common along adjacent FR-121.
Directions
From Circleville, Utah, at the junction of Center Street and Main Street (US-89), travel south on US-89 for about 2 miles. Turn right onto FR-121 for 0.3 miles, then turn right to continue on FR-121 for 4 more miles to the campground (6.5 miles total southwest of Circleville).
