About

Birch Creek Group Campground is a lower elevation camping area on the Fishlake National Forest, located approximately 6.5 miles southwest of Circleville, Utah at 7,800 feet elevation. This no-fee campground offers two spacious group campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations required. Each group site can accommodate two to three vehicles and allows RVs and trailers to pull in and park, making it accessible for larger rigs. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets at each group site, picnic tables, and fire pits. The upper campsite features a large pavilion offering shade during summer months. The setting includes pinion, juniper, and aspen trees, though vegetation is more sparse than higher elevation sites. No water or hookups are available, so campers must bring their own water and be self-sufficient. The location provides convenient access to the Birch Creek Trailhead, which connects to multiple horse and foot trails in the area. OHV traffic is common along Forest Road 121 adjacent to the camping areas, making this a popular spot for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts. The campground enforces a 16-day, 15-night stay limit and quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Pets must be leashed at all times.
