About
Anderson Meadow Campground is nestled above Anderson Meadow Reservoir in the Fishlake National Forest at 9,400 feet elevation, approximately 18 miles east of Beaver, Utah. The campground features 10 campsites total, with six available for advance reservation through Recreation.gov and four available first-come-first-served. Sites are back-in only and can accommodate RVs or truck/trailer combinations from 24 to 40 feet in length. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and prep table. The campground is surrounded by a scenic mix of aspen and conifer trees providing varying levels of shade, with most sites well-shaded. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, as elk, deer, black bear, moose, cougar, and mountain goats inhabit the forest. The eight-acre Anderson Meadow Reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout and supports a wild brook trout population, offering popular fishing from shore or small non-motorized watercraft. Motorized boats are prohibited on the reservoir. Trailheads to the Piute OHV trail system are located close by, though riders must trailer their ATVs to the trailheads as OHV use is prohibited on Forest Road 137 (Kents Lake Road) and within the campground unless street legal. The campground is managed by High Country Recreation under a Forest Service concession permit and operates seasonally from mid-June through mid-September.
