About

Little Badger Campground offers a quiet, rustic camping experience on the border of the Badger Creek Wilderness in Mount Hood National Forest. Located along Little Badger Creek on the east side of the forest within the Barlow Ranger District, this primitive campground sees light use and receives minimal maintenance from the Forest Service. The campground provides vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring all drinking water. The 16-foot maximum vehicle length restriction makes this unsuitable for RVs or larger trailers. Horse and pack animal camping is permitted. All mechanized vehicles including mountain bikes and game carts are prohibited in the adjacent wilderness. Access is via Forest Road 27 and 2710 from either the Dufur side or via Forest Road 48 from Highway 35. The nearby Little Badger Trail #469 provides hiking access into the Badger Creek Wilderness.

Directions

From Dufur, OR: Take Highway 197 South 16 miles towards Tygh Valley. Turn right onto Shadybrook Road, then left after 1 mile on Fairground Road. Go 0.6 miles and turn right onto Badger Creek/Happy Ridge Road. Continue approximately 5 miles to the forest boundary where the road becomes Forest Road 27. Go almost 2 miles on FR 27, then continue onto 2710 for less than 1 mile. The entrance spur road is on your left. Continue 1/3 mile to the campground.
