About

Bonney Crossing Campground is a small, primitive Forest Service campground located on beautiful Badger Creek at the foot of the Badger Creek Wilderness in Oregon's Mount Hood National Forest. The quiet setting along the creek makes it popular with anglers pursuing native trout, while hikers and horseback riders use it as a basecamp for exploring the wilderness. The campground provides direct access to the eastern end of the Badger Creek Trail, which travels through oak and pine woods up to a high saddle above Badger Lake. All mechanized vehicles are prohibited in the wilderness, including mountain bikes and game carts. Facilities are minimal: a single vault toilet is provided, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. With a 16-foot maximum vehicle length, this campground is suited for tents, small trailers, and compact campers rather than large RVs. Sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations available.
