About

Fifteenmile Campground is a small, lightly-used campground nestled along Fifteenmile Creek on the eastern slopes of Mt. Hood National Forest. Located at 4,600 feet elevation in the Barlow Ranger District, the campground sits on the border of the Badger Creek Wilderness, offering immediate access to backcountry hiking and wildlife viewing. The campground is popular among hikers and mountain bikers as the trailhead for Fifteenmile Trail #456, which follows Fifteenmile Creek northeast through old-growth forest before connecting with Cedar Creek Trail #457. Note that all mechanized and motorized vehicles, including mountain bikes and game carts, are prohibited once inside the wilderness boundary. This is a primitive, first-come first-served campground with no reservations accepted. Facilities include vault toilets, but no potable water is available. Campers should bring sufficient drinking water. The narrow access road limits vehicles to 16 feet maximum length, making it suitable for tents, small campers, and passenger vehicles only.
