Wilmington Notch Campground occupies a prime location in New York's Adirondack Park, nestled at the base of Whiteface Mountain along the scenic Ausable River. The 54 well-maintained campsites are set within a picturesque birch and pine grove, providing a classic Adirondack camping experience. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the High Peaks Wilderness, with trails accessible to both novice and experienced hikers. The facility offers modern amenities including hot showers, flush toilets, and a trailer dump station. Each site features a picnic table and fireplace for cooking and campfires. Firewood and ice are available for purchase on-site. The Ausable River provides excellent trout fishing opportunities directly from the campground. Within 10 miles, campers can access mountain biking, rock climbing, canoe and boat rentals, and restaurants. Reservations are available through ReserveAmerica up to 9 months in advance. Sites accommodate up to 6 people with a maximum of 2 tents or 1 RV/trailer plus 1 tent. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10 PM to 7 AM. Pets are welcome with current rabies vaccination and must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
