About
City Creek Campground is located on the Beaver Ranger District approximately 6 miles northwest of Junction, Utah. The campground provides five first-come, first-served campsites with picnic tables and fire pits, canopied by cottonwood trees with the sound of City Creek trickling alongside. While trailers are not recommended in the campground itself due to small site sizes, dispersed trailer camping is available at pull-outs along FR-131. The campground includes a group area with fire pit, picnic area, and amphitheater, making it ideal for larger groups. One vault toilet serves the campground, and no potable water is available. The surrounding landscape features cottonwood, ponderosa pine, pinyon and juniper trees. City Creek is primarily a rainbow trout fishery, with occasional stocking near the campground and good fishing opportunities on both forks, particularly the south fork. OHV and ATV riders can access trails directly from camp, heading north on jeep trails or southeast to connect with the Paiute ATV Trail, which travels through Oak and Cottonwood Basins to additional mountain trails. Hiking and horseback riding trails follow both the North and South Fork of City Creek, providing opportunities to explore the surrounding high country.
Directions
From Junction, head west on Center Street (UT-153) for 5.7 miles. Turn right on FR-131 for 0.6 miles.
