Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.

About
Lava Lake Campground is situated in the heart of Central Oregon's Cascade Range along the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway. At an elevation of 4,740 feet, the campground benefits from lower elevation lodgepole pine stands that offer excellent privacy and screening between sites. The campground sits adjacent to Lava Lake, a scenic body of water lined with bull rushes and distinctive lava outcroppings that reflect the volcanic geology of the region. The location provides access to diverse recreation opportunities including fishing on Lava Lake, hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails, and horseback riding through the surrounding Deschutes National Forest. The campground serves as a gateway to explore the approximately 1,600 miles of trails within the national forest, as well as nearby attractions like the Lava Lands Visitor Center and Newberry National Volcanic Monument. The 66-mile Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway weaves through snow-capped peaks and alpine lakes, offering spectacular scenic driving. The campground features vault toilets and hand-pump drinking water available seasonally from May through September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet in maximum spur length. Each site includes standard amenities, and the mature forest setting creates a peaceful atmosphere while maintaining convenient access to the region's volcanic landscapes and mountain recreation.
