About

Cultus Corral Horse Camp sits in the heart of the Cascade Lakes region, offering equestrians direct access to the southern reaches of the Three Sisters Wilderness. The campground features 10 sites with 4-horse corrals and one site with highline poles, all equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. A hand pump provides potable water for campers, while a trail leads down to Cultus Creek for watering horses. The Winopee Tie Trail connects the campground to the Winopee Trailhead, providing access to Winopee Lake Trail and extensive wilderness riding opportunities. Cultus Lake and Little Cultus Lake are a short drive away for fishing, boating, and swimming. The campground is located just off the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, a 66-mile route featuring numerous lakes and views of South Sister, Broken Top, and Mt. Bachelor. This is a horse-specific facility; campers without horses should use one of the many nearby general campgrounds. Weed-free feed is required throughout Deschutes National Forest to control invasive species.
