With just 8 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis, this campground offers a quiet retreat for those exploring the Council Ranger District. The campground features a paved loop that can accommodate medium-sized RVs, making it accessible for a variety of camping setups, though no hookups are provided. Campers will find basic amenities including vault toilets, drinking water available from a hand pump, picnic tables at each site, and fire pits for campfires. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through the end of September or early October, when weather conditions allow. Sites are $10 per night, with a 50% discount available for holders of Interagency Senior or Access passes. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding national forest lands. Dispersed camping is abundant throughout the Hornet/Cuddy Mountain area for those seeking more primitive experiences. Pets are welcome but should be kept on leash and never left unattended.
