The campground provides direct access to the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and Eagle Cap Wilderness, making it an ideal basecamp for backcountry exploration. Campsites are nestled among large pine and fir trees along the riverbank, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and parking space. Popular activities include fishing in the Imnaha River, hiking into the adjacent wilderness areas, and horseback riding. The nearby Indian Crossing Trailhead offers stock facilities including loading ramps, hitching rails, and feed bunks. The campground operates seasonally from June through September due to high elevation and remote location. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov.
