About
Hidden Campground is a small, rustic facility tucked along the Wild and Scenic Imnaha River within Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. The campground provides 10 tent and trailer sites in a lightly-used setting, making it ideal for those seeking solitude in one of the deepest river gorges in North America. Three of the sites are fully accessible for visitors with mobility needs. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets available. Potable water is not available at Hidden Campground; campers should bring their own water or obtain it seasonally from Indian Crossing or Ollokot Campgrounds. The area offers opportunities for day hiking, river fishing, wildlife viewing, and photography along the scenic Imnaha River corridor. Access is via Forest Road 3960 off Forest Road 39 (Hells Canyon Scenic Byway). The final 7 miles on FR 3960 are unpaved. The campground operates from June through September and is not maintained during the off-season. Sites are available through Recreation.gov or via self-registration at the campground fee station.
